What is the cheapest way to get stuff I’ve bought on holiday, home from Germany TO Australia?

I have bought some books, aluminium bottles, a couple of lamps and some clothes, but my suitcase was pretty full already on the way here. I can live without some of the overflow for a while, even months if need be. So how can I get it home without getting a massive excess baggage cost at the airport? Is there an in-the-know way of doing it?
By the way, I don’t have any makeup
